The QSFP28 full-duplex optical transceiver offers 4 independent transmit and receive channels, each capable of 25Gb/s operation for an aggregate data rate of 100Gb/s on 70 meters of OM3 or 100 meters of OM4 multi-mode ribbon fiber, using a nominal wavelength of 850nm.
The QSFP28-100G-SR4 transceiver optics uses an MSA compliant 38 pin edge type connector on the electrical interface and uses a 12 fiber MPO (MTP) connector optical interface. The QSFP28 SR4 optical transceiver has built-in DDM functions per QSFP28 MSA, which allows real-time access to the following operating parameters: transceiver temperature, laser bias current, transmitted optical power, received optical power and transceiver supply voltage.
